Estimating SAP PPM implementation

Dear community,

 

I am involved in a project evaluation for a SAP PPM 5.0 implementation.

The goal and first step is to use Resource Management from SAP PPM 5.0.

 

Besides all the information I am able to gather within the marketplace and SCN, I can't get a feeling what time is needed to implement PPM for the use of resource management.

 

So far we can estimate our time/costs for:

  • Technical installations of hardware and software
  • SAP Licences

 

Where we miss a feeling for the time/costs are:

  • Basis configuration following the master and configuration guides
  • Advanced customizing for project creation, project roles, tasks, etc.
  • Integrating of already customized and prepared components/applications like CATS

 

I would appreciate your experiences and questions-need-to-be-asked of any kind related to my request.

 

SAP PPM 6.0 is not an option yet, still I like to consider any pitfalls if we would upgrade to 6.0 in a later point in time.

SMP 2.3 Registration failed Error

Hi, please look at my problem.

I have installed smp 2.3. service to new server and restored application using exported project from previous server.

It was standard import/export feature of sap mobile workspace.

Now it's testing and development period, we need access to smp server from a couple of mobile devices with that application running.

So I decided to use No security connection template.

And every device but one is running ok. And that one device we had used on previous server instance.

 

When I try to register on SMP server with this device I recieve the following error:

 

Registration failed for Device: [deviceGUID__appName] User: [myUserName] DevType: android ( Jmo ). Errorcode = 105 ErrorMessage: Device already register wih username, security config and application id that doesn't match current values.

 

But in SCC in application connections tab for that application there is no entry with this deviceGUID. And for all applications in SCC there is no such connection or user with this DeviceID.  If any I would deleted it to free up this deviceID for new registration.

 

To overcome this I duplicated application with preConfigured supAdmin connection template just for that device.

 

May be there's a way to read SMP DB and try to find and delete such entry manually? Or right way to delete existing device registration?

Vendor Article Number in report format

Hey,

 

I am looking for Report in SAP MM which will give me Vendor Article or Vendor Part number. This information is in Purchasing Info Record but when i am using T-code ME1M for PIR report this field is not comming. If you know any other report or by any other way i can get this information with reference to article and Vendor that will be a great help.

Hard deleted record from HR

Hi , I have a query on BEx.  There is a new requirement. The  employee record which are hard deleted from HR system should not be there in BEx. In BI, we are doing a full load for master data. Since it is hard deletion, how can I avoid/delete those records from  BI system/BEx report .Please assist urgently

Send email through SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 with PDF attachement of smartforms.

Hi,

 

I am converting a smartform to PDF and then sending it as an attachment to email using FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1.

But I am getting this error. 'Error calling FM <SBCOMS_SEND_REQUEST_CREATE> in <SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1> with SY-SUBRC <1>'

 

I am passing below entries to packaging list table.

 

Packing list for Email Text

        ls_packing_list-head_start = 1.
        ls_packing_list-head_num   = 1.
        ls_packing_list-body_start = 1.
        ls_packing_list-doc_type   = 'RAW'.

 

 

Packing list for PDF

        ls_packing_list-transf_bin = 'X'
        ls_packing_list-head_start = 1.
        ls_packing_list-head_num   = 1.
        ls_packing_list-body_start = 1.
        ls_packing_list-doc_type   = 'PDF'.

 

 

Please let me know if I am missing anything.

Workitem confusion

Hi,

 

   for my PO workflow  , a workitem is getting triggered when a PO is created and it goes to the approver inbox , before the approver approves it , the Workflow initator goes and do some changes in the PO, so again workflow is triggered and a new workitem comes to approver inbox.

 

now in approval inbox he is having two workitem for the same PO so now he wants that only the latest be dere else all should be deleted.

How to change the node description in property Tree

Hi Experts,

 

I need to update the “Food/Paper Regulations”(Selected one) property node to “Other EU Food/Paper Regulations”.  And remove the “GRAS” property.

Class Name of “Food/Paper Regulations” is ZAP_EHS_1024_126

I opened CL02 for this class and change the description-

But still if I go back to CG02 and see the description then it’s same not updated-

Can someone please suggest why its not updating here?

 

And how can we delete the GRAS node.Its only to remove the value assignment type from below screen or something else to do-

Unable to find the Visual Admin Tool Nw 7.3 Ehp1

We have Installed the Portal System (NW 7.3 Ehp 1) in that we are unable to find the visual admin Tool in the path drive:\usr\sap\\J00\j2ee. Can you please suggest me how to rectify the error..

PPOM_OLD, Name of employee not appearing

Hi,

 

In PPOM_OLD , name of the employee under position is appearing blank for 1 employee only.

 

when we go to PP01, and enter the employee id, there is no relationship created for this employee.

 

Please help.

Hello all,

 

for some agriculture products it is only allowed to send them up to a certain weight. For example wheat up to 2000 kg for each shipment.

 

If I would like to enter a new order in Feeder/Retail about wheat with 1500 kg, then everything should be fine and GTS will not block me this order. But if I have an order about 2500 kg, the System should block me this order. How can I do the settings in the system, that the order will be blocked at 2500 kg?

Hi,

 

I upgrade the SEM BCS tools  from BW702-SP6 SEM600-SP18 to BW731-SP10 SEM636-SP10.

 

When I execute the consolidation monitor (UCMON), there is a dump with the message : CL_UG_MD_AREAID with the new version.

 

According to support SDN and help sap notes support, there are the following notes with this message  (1925481 - Termination of data model synchronization,etc;) but these notes are not applicable.

 

Are you a idea to solve this problem ?

 

NB : no activation EPH (SFW5)

PI 7.4: wrong logical system

I am configuring a managed system (SAP Netweaver 7.4) which will be used as PI Development system. However, in step 10 "Create Logical Components" (Solution Manager 7.1), the development system that appears is BWD:001, which correspond to another system. I think the right system to show should be PID:001

 

How could I fix this? and Thanks in advance...

Password Reset Notification in plain text and not HTML

Please assist,

 

I have a requirement to send the emails regarding password reset for access control in plain text instead of HTML.  Does anybody know if this can be done and if so how?

 

I have looked in SE61 and the text appears to be plain text however when email is sent it is sent with HTML tags.  Document GRAC_CUP_PSS_NOTIFY

 

We are using AC10.

Matching ABAP Roles with UME Groups

Hello,

 

we are facing the following issue:

We are providing Business Warehouse access via NW Portal beside the "normal" abap system. Therefore we need to put every new user into a special UME-group. How can we match ABAP-Roles with UME-Groups?

We just want to assign a single (portal-)role to an user in the abap-stack, not another group in the UME. Is this possible?

Configure Multi domain and SSO enable

Dear Experts,

 

Currently our system have single domain with SSO enabled and now client asked us to add another domain with SSO enable. I have gone through the scn forums and SAP note, and I need answers for following questions:

 

     Multiple domain means - both are separate like Domain1 and Domain2?

     If we have two domain what about the service account? it should be any one domain or same account should be create in two domains

     The krb5.ini file should be like this right?

Customer error in SAP CRM

Dear Experts,

 

I have facing issue regarding customer in CRM.

 

We have legacy system where customer gets created and after that replicated in CRM through webservice (Z created interface).

 

The issue is when ever customer created with category ID 1 (Person)its created successfully
in CRM after they change  same customer  category ID  from 1 to 2(Person to Organisation).

 

The changes updated and CRM generated a new BP number for the already created customer.

 

As per the client requirement they want whenever change category id for the customer it
should update the old customer number instead of created new number.

 

Legacy BP ID-ab1234-customer created in CRM 10023398(category ID-1 as person)

 

Changed category ID from 1 to 2

 

Legacy BP ID-ab1234-customer created in CRM 10023399(category ID-2 as Organisation)

 

Is there any possibility to fix the issue by putting validation at program level or
Enhancement?

 

Kindly share your valuable suggestions to fix this issue.

Trouble with installing SAP UI5 on Hana Studio

Hello, i'm following instructions at SAP Development Tools for Eclipse, when I press enter (3. Press Enter to display the available features.) I get the error message: Unable to read repository at https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/juno.

This is the error log:

sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

 

I'm using trial hosting of  SAP Hana and SAP Hana studio is deployed on virtual machine, provided in package with SAP Hana. I appreciate any help, thank you.
